Question:
Will a Poolboss work with my automatic pool cleaner?
Answer:
Yes. The Poolboss floats on the surface of the pool and away from the wall of the
pool.
Question:
I try to keep pool water level at about six inches from the top of my deck. Can Poolboss adjust to six inches?
Answer:
Yes. Poolboss can be adjusted in increments of 1/16 inch and anywhere from 4 ½ to
7 ¾ inches from the top of your deck.
Question:
How do I adjust the height of my pool water and keep it level?
Answer:
Simply rotate the floating duck CW to lower pool water or CCW to raise it. Once set,
the duck holds on for dear life – even in the strongest wind.
Question:
Can I move Poolboss to different locations around my swimming pool?
Answer:
Moving is a snap. Simply slide the float rod out of the valve and move the float and supply pipe to a different location. Poolboss has a built-in carrying handle and weighs only 2 ½ pounds. Plus, it automatically shuts itself off so you don’t have to turn the hose off before you take it out of the pool.
Question:
How does Poolboss stop metal erosion and plaster discoloration in my pool?
Answer:
Electrolysis is produced in water by the shearing action of water flowing past the blade of your skimmer weir or past the outlet nozzle when adding water to your pool. It is the ions that are stripped off by this shearing action that causes metal erosion and plaster discoloration. Poolboss has two anti-electrolytic sleeves (zinc) built-into each outrigger (handle).
Question:
Does Poolboss make a noise while adding water to the pool?
Answer:
Poolboss is equipped with a patented toggle control valve that operates with a duck float. Water flow through this valve is so quiet that we provide each Poolboss with a tell-tail to let you know Poolboss is doing its job. Also, Poolboss comes with an adjustable water-level gage to set the selected level that you have chosen.
Question:
Will floating the duck attract other ducks into my pool.
Answer:
No. To date we have not been presented with this problem.
Question:
Will poolboss operate with high water pressure.
Answer:
Poolboss works with standard water pressure (35 to 70 PSI). Poolboss is
equipped with a built-in pressure reducer rated at 150.
